UPSC Combined Geo-Scientific and Geologist Exam 2019
Notice has published in the employment news document March 30 to April 5, 2019
number. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites the online
application form for the geoscientific and geologist combined examination
(GEOL) exam, 2019.
The online registration of UPSC CGGE 2019 will open
as of March 20, 2019 and will close on April 16, 2019. UPSC will conduct a
competitive examination for the recruitment of geologists, geophysicists and
chemists (CGGE 2019) from the 28th June 2019

Age Limit: (as on 01/01/2019)
For Geologist and Geophysicist and Chemist - 21 to 32 Years. I.e. he/she must have been
born not earlier than 2nd January, 1987 and not later than 1st January 1998.
For Jr. Hydro geologist (Scientist B) - 21 to 35 years. I.e. he/she must have been
born not later than 2nd January 1984 and not later than 1st January 1998.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
For geologists Gr 'A' - Master of Geological
Sciences or Geology or Applied Geology or Geo-Exploration or Mineral
Exploration or Engineering Geology or Marine Geology or Earth Sciences and
Resource Management or Oceanography and Coastal Areas Studies or Oil
Geosciences or Petroleum Exploration or Geochemistry or Geological Technology
or Geophysical Technology of a university incorporated by a Law of the Central
or State Legislature of India or an educational institution established by an
Act of the Parliament or declared as a university according to section 3 of the
Law of the Commission of University Grants, 1956 (3 of 1956).
For geophysicists Gr 'A' -M.Sc. In Physics or
Applied Physics or M.Sc. (Geophysics) or M.Sc. integrated. (Geophysics of
exploration) or M.Sc (Applied Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Marine Geophysics) or M.Sc.
(Technology) (Applied Geophysics) of a university incorporated by a Law of the
Parliament or State Legislature in India or other educational institutes
established by an Act of Parliament or declared as universities according to
the Law of the Commission on Grants of the University of 1956 .
For chemists Gr 'A' - M. Sc. In Chemistry or
Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry of a University incorporated by an
Act of Parliament or the State Legislature or other educational Institutes
established by an Act of Parliament or declared as Universities according to
Section 3 of the Law of the Commission on University Grants, 1956, that is,
recognized University.
For Juvenile Hydrologists (Scientist B) Gr 'A' - Master's Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a
university incorporated by a Law of the Central Legislature or the State of
India or other educational Institutes established by an Act of Parliament or
declared to be considered as Universities according to Section 3 of the Law of
the Commission of University Grants, 1956; (O) Master's degree in hydrogeology
from a recognized university.
Application fee: candidates must pay a fee of Rs 200 / - either by depositing the money in any SBI branch in cash, or by using
the SBI net banking facility (State Bank of India) or by using Visa / Master
Credit Card debt. There is no charge for women / SC / ST / PH candidates
