Recruitment of sailors of the Indian Navy 2019-2020
for apprenticeship, upper secondary and apprentice positions to fill
a total of 2700 vacancies in 2020. The Indian Navy invites online application for single male candidates to register as a sailor for high school recruit
(SSR) and apprentice artisan (AA) in August 2020 Batch. The last date of
submission of the online registration is November 18, 2019.

Age limit: Candidates must be born between August 1,
2000 and July 31, 2003 (both dates inclusive).
Payment and subsidies: during the training period, a
stipend ofRs14,600 / - per month. Upon successful completion of the initial
training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defense Payment Matrix (Rs 21,700 -Rs69,100)
Academic preparation:
Sailors
for Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR)

Qualified
in 10+2 (Matric with 12th class) examination with Maths & Physics and at
least one of these subjects:- Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science from the
Board of School Education recognized by MHRD, Govt. of India.

Sailors
for Artificer Apprentice (AA)
|
Qualified
in 10+2 examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths &
Physics and at least one of these subjects:- Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer
Science from the Boards of School Education recognized by MHRD, Govt. of
India.

Selection process: computer-based exam (100 marks),
qualified physical fitness test (PFT) and medical examination.
Computer-based exam:
(a) A common exam will be conducted for the AA and
SSR entries.
(b) The questionnaire will be computer-based with a
total of 100 questions, each with a mark of 01.
(c) The question document will be bilingual (Hindi
and English) and objective type (multiple choice).
(d) The question document will consist of four
sections, that is, English, science, mathematics and general knowledge.
(e) The standard of the question document will be 10
+ 2. The curriculum and sample documents for the exam are available on the Join
Indian Navy website.
(f) The duration of the exam will be one hour.
(g) Candidates must approve in all sections and
together. The Navy reserves the right to determine approval marks in each
Section and together.
Exam
fee:
Rs/-215 / - paid through online mode only through net banking or through the
use of Visa / Master / RuPay Credit / Debit Card / UPI. There is no fee for
candidates of the SC / ST category.
How
to submit an application: Eligible candidates can submit an
application online only through the official website of Join Indian Navy from
November 8, 2019. The last date for submitting applications online is 18/11 /
2019.
