Indian Navy Musician Recruitment 2019 - Online application for sailors
The Indian Navy invites online applications of
single male candidates for the recruitment of sailors enrolled for the matrix
recruit (musician) - 02/2019 by batches. Online registration will begin on May
6, 2019. The last date to submit applications online is May 19, 2019.

Candidates should be born between
01 October 1994 to 30 September 2002 (Both dates inclusive). No age
relaxation is permissible.

During the initial training
period, a stipend of Rs 14,600/-per month will be admissible. On successful
completion of initial training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence
Pay Matrix (Rs 21,700 - Rs 69,100)

Eligibility:
(1) Educational qualification: the candidate must
have passed the Registration Examination of the School Education Boards
recognized by MHRD, Government. From India.
(2) Musical ability: Must have competence in
auditory aptitude for music with a precision in the tempo, tone and song of a
complete song. He must also have a real practical skill in any instrument of
Indian or foreign origin with ability to tune the instrument, match unknown
notes with the instrument, ready piece, Indian Classical / Tablature / Staff
Notation reading, Scale / Raaga performance / Taala and basic Theory of Indian
or international music.
(3) Type of instruments in which competence is
required: candidates must act with experience in one or more instruments such
as wind instrument, keyboard, guitar, tabla, Mridangam, Pakhwaj, Dholak or any
other instrument of Indian or foreign origin. . Candidates acting on
indefinite-tone instruments such as the set of jazz drums, brass drums, box
drums, side drums, cymbals, non-chromatic instruments such as Bugle instruments
and monotone instruments used to produce drones such as Ektara will not be
eligible for recruitment
(4) Certificate of musical experience: candidates
who perform Hindustani or Carnatic Classical music on wind instruments will
require a certificate of musical experience from any musical Institute or
renowned organization. A certificate of minimum Initial Grade of International
Boards such as Trinity College of Music, London or Royal School of Music,
London will be mandatory for candidates who interpret western notation or
western music on wind instruments.
Selection process: the selection of the recruits is
based on the order of merit of their performance in the Preliminary Selection
Board and the Final Selection Board. Physical fitness test (PFT) and medical
examination.
