Padhao yojana is a government plan launched by our INDIAN Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22ND January 2015, in Panipat, Haryana. This Beti Bachao Beti Padhao yojana /scheme was launched taking into account the
drastic condition of girls in INDIAN society. According to statistics, the
proportion of girls per boy (from the age group 0-6 years) was 945/1000 in
1991, while only remaining at 927/1000 in 2001 and again reduced to 918/1000 in
2011. Yes, we see In the census report we see that the proportion of girls is
continuously decreasing for every decade. It is a warning sign related to the
possibility of life on earth. If nothing positive is applied urgently to reduce
this type of problem against girls, there would surely be a day without women
and new births.
As we know the reason for this yojana was launched by Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India
22nd January 2015, launched a scheme called Beti Bachao Beti Padhao in the Panipat district of Haryana. The
main aim of the scheme was to save and educate the girl child throughout India.
The reason why this scheme was launched in Haryana was that this particular
state has the lowest female sex ratio when compared to other states. This
particular state has the lowest female proportion compared to other states.
This is being implemented through a federal campaign and a multisectoral
movement concentrated in 100 elected districts with a low sex ratio of
children, incorporating all the states and territories of the Union. The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao yojana Plan
would be estimated at the end of the 12th Five-Year Plan to assess its
influence and take the corrective step.
Given this bad girl figure in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has
launched the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana /scheme. It is a very effective Yojana that aims to improve the number
of girls, save girls, eradicate female feticide, provide them with adequate
security and education, personal and professional development, etc. in all the
country. This Yojana has been
implemented in 100 selected districts
of the country (by the joint initiative of the Ministry of Human Resources and
Health Development and the Ministry of Women and Children Development) through
a national campaign to cover all states and UT. There are some positive aspects
that this Yojana would prove a great
start to eliminate social problems against girls. when no girl is killed,
uneducated, insecure, raped, etc., for socio-economic reasons.

SELECTION OF DISTRICTS
In
Phase I (the year 2014-15), the Plan began in 100 districts for a targeted
intervention and multisectoral action. These districts were identified on the
basis of a low child sex ratio according to the 2011 Census covering all states
/ TU as a pilot with at least one district in each state. The criteria /
standards for the selection/identification of the first 100 districts in
Phase I are as follows: - 87 districts from 23 states / TU have been selected
that have a sex ratio below the child • the national average of 918. 8
districts have been selected from 8 States / UTs that have a child sex index
higher than the national average of 918 but show a downward trend. Five districts
of 5 states / UT have been selected that have a child sex ratio greater than the national average of 918 and show a tendency for improvement so that other parts
of the country can learn from them.
In
Phase II (the Year 2015-16), the Scheme was expanded in 61 additional districts
covering 11 States to raise awareness and advocate for the issue taking into
account the importance of the problem and the performance of the scheme in the
field.
In
this short duration, the BBBP has been well received and favorable trends are
observed in many of the districts. The scheme has been successful in
establishing the improvement in the sex-child relationship as a national
agenda. Based on the successful implementation in 161 districts, the Cabinet
approved the expansion of BBBP that would include multisectoral intervention in
244 districts (in addition to the existing 161 districts) and Alert District
Media, Advocacy and Outreach in 235 districts, thus covering all 640 districts
(according to the 2011 census) of the country will have a deeper positive
impact on the sex-child relationship.
